Jackie Dew has been in Dogs for 40 plus years. She is an AKC judge and soon will applying for Cavaliers. Ms. Dew enjoys several hobbies including quilting, oil painting and ceramics. She was active in showing Cocker Spaniels under the affix of Dewcastle Cockers, and has shown Chihuahuas for the past 7 years.

Cavaliers have been a very big part of my life for the past 33 years. I enjoy all aspects of the 'dog world', whether showing, breeding, Judging or simply talking about this lovely breed we all share. To me Cavaliers are beauty personified, their temperament is faultless, and their sheer ‘Joie de Vivre’ makes them very special little dogs. I have a large family of Cavaliers in my home aged from 17 years downwards, and they keep me very busy.
I have bred several UK Champions under my TELVARA Affix, and have also shared my bloodline over the years with others who have had great success, some in the UK, and many others in countries overseas.
I've been a Committee member,Show Manager and Health Representative of the Southern Cavalier Club ( UK) for many years, and for the last five years I've also been the Club Chairman, so I appreciate the hard work that goes into organising a successful show.
I'm looking forward to this judging assignment, and hope as always to find quality matched with beauty in the entry. This will be my ninth visit to judge Cavaliers in the US, and I really look forward to seeing how the breed is progressing in your care, so thank you for inviting me back. Although there can only be a small number of top winners rewarded at any one event, I sincerely hope that win or lose we all have a really enjoyable show.

Karin Ostmann was born and raised in Switzerland. Karin became involved with the Cavalier in 1983. She has bred and owned 19 CKCSC Champions, 97 AKC Champions, and 5 International Champions.
Among her well-known cavaliers are CKCSC BISS Ch. Sheeba Special Edition ROM (James), who sired 64 champions. And Ch. Telvara Top-Kopy ROM (Tucker), who sired 38 champions.
She credits these two dogs as influencing her breeding program and helping her to establish a consistent line of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
